How To Land Your Dream Job

“Visualize this thing that you want. See it, feel it, and believe in it. Make your mental blueprint and then begin to build.” – Maxwell Maltz

A penny for your thoughts.

Human behavior says you become what you think about most of the time. Your predominant thoughts largely determine what you say, how you say it and how you act. The results you get in life and especially in your career are the direct results of your thoughts.

All of us tend to move in the direction of our dominant way of thinking. We manifest what we think about. Just think about it for a second. Your thoughts led you right to where you are right now. You are reading this because you thought about it.

The more you think, talk and imagine something, the more of an impact it has on your feelings and actions, and the more rapidly you attract it into your life.

If you want to be promoted, do what successful people do. Successful people think in terms of prosperity, not in terms of lack.

They often think about the future and where they see their lives in five or ten years. A Harvard study concluded that the most successful men in women have a “long time perspective.” They are able to delay gratification now and wait until the future.

Where do you see your career in the long term? Can you visualize it? What does your ideal job look like? In what city? How much money are you making? You have to first think it and then it can become your reality.

Action step: Write down your ideal job, salary, and work conditions.
