St. Patricks day and Race relations.

How are race relations question was asked back in February. Tomorrow, St Patrick’s day, is a great example that we are living well together.

Today is the 150th anniversary of the start of the Civil war – tomorrow many people regardless race, creed, color or gender will party as “The Irish” Many will dress up. Chicago will dye the river green, friends and I will even eat corned beef and cabbage. No one will say “You are English, Portugese, Japanese, Brazilian, Mexican, Latino, African American, Russian, Latvian, etc, etc, etc” We will just party together.

Yes party. No “beer summit” with an “agenda” but a party to have fun without even thinking about an “agenda.”

This is no holiday – though many will take Friday, the day after St. Paddy’s day, to recover.

The Irish transformation from hated immigrants to party celebrates is more proof.

Happy St Patrick’s day to one and all!
