“Open Government Directive: Agencies Ready to Respond” Panel for ACT-IAC Community Fair of March 24, 2010
BACKGROUND:
The Open Government Directive issued on December 8th from the U.S. Office of Management and Budget issued specific actions and timelines for implementation to federal agencies. The biggest challenge that federal agencies face in the Open Government Directive is the requirement to create, by April 7, 2010, an agency-wide Open Government Plan that describes how the agency will increase transparency and integrate public participation and collaboration into its government business.
Agency executives will discuss Mission Focus, Collaborative Technologies, Leadership and Culture Change, Security Risks, Metrics and Next Steps.
