Webinar Description
You want to make it easy for customers to find what they're looking for on your website. You know top tasks are important and key to customer success and satisfaction. You're too busy to do usability testing and fix the problems you find. You wish you had a usability analyst to turn this work over to... but you don't.
One solution to this no-time-to-test dilemma is to do remote usability testing with a small (3–5) number of real customers one top task at a time. This is the method recommended by Web Content Expert Gerry McGovern (check out Gerry' McGovern's free webinar in our WMU archive).
User Experience Sub–Council member Cliff Tyllick of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality will demonstrate how he conducts remotely usability tests on one top task using webinar software and the telephone; how he analyzes the results; and optimizes the task.
You'll hear answers to common questions, such as:
* How do you recruit users for remote testing?
* How do you set up a remote usability test session?
* What equipment or resources do you need?
* How do you analyze the results?
* How valid are the results with 3–5 users?
* How do you get buy–in if your management is unconvinced?
* How do you put the results into practice without getting bogged down?
