GovLoop - Knowledge Network for Government

Greetings all,
My issue is one of information. I work for a company that does a lot of work with local governments with regards to website development. During my year-end review (as a PR Manager), I was told that there are publications (either on-line or physical) that list contracts that governments have awarded. I have done a fair amount of research, but either a) the Google gods have determined that I don't know the secret handshake and are thus unworthy of good results or b) I am looking for the proverbial needle in a worldwide, digital haystack. I thought that I would pose this question to the eriudite and genteel readers of this forum. I thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide this humble scribe.

Subscription services like Onvia and Deltek should probably have it

Thanks! I'll look into it!

Look at government sites open to the public like:

1) fpds.gov

2) fbo.gov

Thanks, Sterling! Appreciate the heads up!

quickly I set contract # and found these hits.  May help

http://usaspending.gov/ (soliciting)

http://www.govbudgets.com/ (NASA Contracts)

http://iq.govwin.com/ (soliciting)

http://smallbusiness.data.gov/ (data contracts)

Stewart, thanks for the great information. I knew I posted this on the right site.

Hi Jerry-

Henry here from Onvia.  If you are looking for local government contract awards, Onvia (www.onvia.com) is definitely a service that you should definitely check out.  We have a comprehensive database of contracts awards including many recurring/term contracts.
