Government Outreach: Are Industry Days Productive?

DHS had an Industry Day earlier this week, and from what I understand, went quite well. Industry Days, when used effectively, are a great way for government to communicate a need, and provide a platform for knowledge transfer to industry on a requirement, and vice versa.

Questions:

1. Common myths are that Industry Days are a waste a time, since Industry does not ask questions, and the government does not share pertinent information. Do you agree with this Myth? Why?
2. What experiences have you had with Industry Days, good or bad?
3. How can Industry Days be improved?
