GovLoop - Social Network for Government

So I was just reading this post by Beth Beck at NASA about how she hates paperwork.

And I do, too.

Don't lie.

So do you.

So what are the REPETITIVE forms that you have to fill out or the tasks that you have to complete that make you want to take it all to the shredder?

Heck - let's talk about 'em all.

Can't wait to set this forum (and form) on fire...

Don't get me started on FedTraveler. I know it isn't paperwork, but it seems like they automated the exact paper process. WHAT?!
Tell me more about FedTraveler, Rachel. I'm not familiar with that...
I agree! Only the government can make the travel experience so painful! I think I like the paper better. What's most annoying is that we have to pay for every transaction/reservation made. What a waste!
The fact that with a few obvious exceptions like the White House, the Pentagon and the Capital; the level of security is inversely proportional to the importance of the agency and/or the likelyhood of it ever being threatened. In fact the security BS level at some of the most obscure and low priority targets often appears to exceed that of the big three.
Weekly, monthly and annual reports.
My system spits out an unnecessary report every time I log in or enter a claim - goes straight to the shredder (waste of paper)
Forms to have websites unblocked, websites that I need to do my job =/
Word.
Can you share an example of the form, Nick?
Oh we have this, too: The "Computer and Internet Acceptable Use Policy Release Form" to identify the website and the reason you need access, and which has to be signed by two people besides yourself before they lift the iron curtain.

What if we completed this for GovLoop? Or just crowd-sourced an awesome response for various websites (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) that people could copy and paste? Would that be helpful?
For me it isn't a problem to get the access I need. I'm fortunate to be in a position where they recognize that the sites you listed have legitimate professional use, and I'm not just screwing around. I'm just whining about the fact that I have to submit a form each time the dreaded Barracuda Blue Screen pops up.
