Way too many trenches with different naming conventions and types!  Also, no one wants to turn loose of their own little stash :|

Agree - I'd also add different people doing data collection.  On federal procurement data, there are numerous places that are collecting data on contractors and spend from at agency level, USASpending.gov, FPDS, etc

The biggest challenge I face in data consolidation is the people submitting often have different interpretations of the perameters of the data call.  Also, at times, some people will put the response in their own format even if the formatting guidelines are already established, such as a spreadsheet with specific items requested.  They may answer in the body of an email, provide extra information that was not needed as well as not provide some items that were needed.

Thanks Chris! The presentation for sure helps and congrats on the nomination! Any roadblocks your team ran into along the way? What was the toughest part of the part for you (security, selecting the right software, resource constrains, system migration, management..etc). Really appreciate your insights!
