Today, December 15th, our AGA-Guam Chapter is having our annual Christmas Party for members!

Our chapter also helps the Salvation Army (Bell Ringing) and a local Homeless Food Server (Kusinan Kamilan Karidat).

What is YOUR chapter doing for the holidays?

AGA's Intergovernmental Partnership Receives Excellence Award from Inspectors General Council - The Partnership created a guide designed to improve program performance through a collaborative process called the Cooperative Audit Resolution and Oversight Initiative (CAROI) for any level of government. Check it out:  www.agacgfm.org/news/downloads/CIGIE_101811final.pdf.

I have an exciting opportunity for someone to work for the State of Arizona at our sister agency which finances the construction, rehabilitation and/or improvement of drinking water, wastewater, wastewater reclamation, as well as other water quality facilities/projects.

Here's the details:

hi, just joined b/c I liked the blog post shared by Joseph above, and I like the idea of accountability going well beyond finance. I've got a client that writes a blog at www.bettergov.us and we talk about some of the same issues.

Hello. I have been invited to speak at the local Kansas City chapter of the Association of Governmental Accountants (AGA) on Performance Measures during their Spring workshop. Though I have been involved in creating and collecting performance measures, I have not actually spoken on the subject.

Any resources, books, articles, etc., that you are aware of that help define and discuss performance measures would help me develop a valuable program.

Thanks,

Mike
