Comment by Tonya T. Neaves on September 28, 2011 at 5:04pm The 33rd annual Southeastern Conference for Public Administration held at the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans, Louisiana, from September 21-24, 2011. Traditionally, SECoPA does a wonderful job at attracting academic, practitioners, and students from across the region, and this year was no exception. Panels ranged from an array of subfields, including ethical standards, organizational performance and collaboration, program evaluation, human resources management, economic development, social policy, heath care, public safety, and emergency management. In short, there was no of scholarly ideas. This year was also unique in that the American Society for Public Administration's National Officers were present, scoping the area out for the 2013 annual meeting site. Much gratitude is expressed to Conference Chair, John Keifer, and Academic Program Chair, Robert Montjoy, both of the University of New Orleans, for their tremendous service to the organization and unwavering effort to make this year's meeting a success! So, thank you to all who were present!
