Marlene, you may want to check out the Federal Highway Adminstration (FHWA) Public Involvement Reference Tool, which includes environmental justice and limited English proficiency examples.

You also may want to look at National Cooperative Highway Research Program Report 710, Practical Approaches for Involving Traditionally Underserved Popula....

For further ideas, see the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Envrionmental Justice in Transportation Committee

Should the communication department remain in the shadows?  Interesting question from Deb -

Anyone know why this case report (New Zealand Police Act Review wiki consultation) is not available on the official (?) Collaboration Project website at collaborationproject.org?

This seems to be some kind of snapshot of an earlier version of the site.

Thanks!

Hey NAPA Collaboration Project fans...

My friends at NAPA (National Academy of Public Administration) are hosting a reception for former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates tomorrow at 5pm at Ronal Reagan Center.

They wanted to call and let GovLoopers know if interested, they can register by emailing tcole@napawash.org

Pretty cool opportunity

I am interested in the collaborations that can take place amongst federal agencies.  I head up the INEAP (Interagency Network of Enterprise Assistance Providers)  http://www.nist.gov/ineap/  Please visit the website and find out more about our group.  We meet monthly to share (in person or via conference call) initiatives, ideas, issues, programs, etc. with federal agencies and work to assist each other in furthering our missions.  A lot can happen when we work together and leverage our strengths, resources and capabilities.
