FedPitch 2009 is underway!

FedPitch is an innovative initiative providing citizens with the opportunity to present their ideas on ways to improve workforce management in the federal government. FedPitch was launched by 13L, a group of mid-career federal employees committed to promoting effective leadership in the federal government. FedPitch 2009 is co-sponsored by the Partnership for Public Service, Young Government Leaders, the Institute for the Study of Public Policy Implementation at American University, and the International Public Management Association for Human Resources.

Is this group only for Federal employee's? Is the main focus to develop a infrasstructure so employee's can develop process and methods to better complete their tasks? I work with Initiatives and the process may be useful. Please join USInitiative group so we may have input to our Nation.

Thank you to everyone for their input and participation at last night's FedPitch Judges' Dinner. The event reminded me of a nice quotation:

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. - Margaret Mead

Hello,

This experience was awesome and I am spreading the word in Nashville. Idea - thats what fedpitch is about. What about taking this show on the road. This could be a great idea for Combine Federal Campaign celebrations in major metros like Nashville, Atlanta, New York, Chicago, etc. This also is a great way to get donors for organizations (fedpitch, 13l, partnership for public service) if they have CFC codes. Sign me up as a volunteer and I know my fellow alumni pitchers would be on board!

Congrats to ALL 2008 and 2009 FedPitch participants - that took guts. Just getting up on that stage is a huge accomplishment. Kudos!
