Does anyone have any suggestions for good groups to join - I am a CPA/Banker looking for contracting opportunities in Washington.  I just finished a project for the OIG at the Small Business Administration.  Thanks for any advice!

Q&A: Rep. Platts on his new financial management oversight subc...

Among the new House Oversight and Government Reform subcommittee chairs announced Jan. 18 by its chairman, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) is Rep. Todd Platts (R-Pa.), a familiar name for those who track congressional oversight on federal financial management and systems. Platts, who will head up the subcommittee on government organization, efficiency and financial management, chaired essentially the same subcommittee for five years until 2007, when Republicans then lost their majority standing.

Looking forward to interacting with this group. I joined govloop days ago, and am enthralled with the network! I am a CPA managing Hurricanes Katrina and Rita funding for our local government. Hi All,

My name is Barry Sims. I am a staff accountant at the Naval Research Lab. I am a CPA and CGFM. I also passed the CFE exam and I have a Master's degree in Accounting. I am most interested in developing a better knowledge of Federal financial accounting and in holding positions of greater responsibility in it. I look forward to your contributions and to hopefully contributing some knowledge of my own.
