Hey Bostonians - What do you think of the Office of New Urban Mechanics established by Mayor Menino? Blog post about it here:

Is there a group for discussing things affecting municipal and regional government in Massachusetts, not just Boston? Or is it OK to generalize this group to talk about issues of interest/concern to people involved in Massachusetts state, county, regional, and municipal governments including, but not limited to, Boston? That is, can I use this group as though it were "GovLoop Massachusetts"? If not, would there be support for starting a "GovLoop Massachusetts" group?

My latest post for CityCamp Boston might provide food for thought:

Government 2.0 Tools not enough for CityCamp Boston
http://www.citycampboston.org/2010/09/28/government-2-0-tools-not-e...

It is so easy to raise awareness, co-create value with citizens, and increase positive engagement with today's tools and associated strategies, hopefully this will give folks some insights.

Let me know if you're ever interested in learning more about Bubbleideas (the platform we're using).
