I am involved in a new project that will be conceptualizing and implementing a knowledge management system over a network of local public health organizations. I am interested in any models of KM that are applied to community systems. One place I have started looking is at the Community Informatics Initiative, located at the University of Illinois.

I would love to see more with Flickr. Perhaps with a maps mashup like kindness.yahoo.com.

I second the shout out to the AIDS.gov team. They offer tremendous leadership and have always been helpful and collaborative with other agencies who desire to gain insight into lessons learned from their initiatives. The AIDS.gov team actually used flickr as one component of their "Face AIDS" initiative for World AIDS Day 2009.

My first little step is to convince my colleagues (about 20 people) to start using a wiki as our common work space. I have the feeling that I will encounter some resistance but there are also other positive signs. Did someone have similar experience? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
