Social Media Usage in Local Governments
Hi everyone,
My name is Alan Huynh and I'm currently researching the factors that best determine the success rate of a local government utilizing social media.

Thanks for your note Alan. I hope you get a lot of responses. FYI - we have some attendees from local and state governments in this Special Interest Group (SIG); however, most are federal government. Thanks for your post and good luck in your research. I'd love to see your results. Getting social media more readily used throughout the government is a great idea and effective tool.

Great stuff Alan and there are some really good examples of local use of social media. If you don't know, there is a Twitter chat around this #localgovchat (http://docs.google.com/View?id=dc9svrbb_52cttcm9g9) where you might be able to pick up some more info. Really would love to hear your results!
