There was a great thought piece in the May 22 WSJ called "Humans: Why They Triumphed". Historically, the societies that innovated and therefore evolved were those that reached out to other groups beyond their own. They learned from others. A quote from the article, "Innovation is a collective enterprise that relies on exchange", reminded me of social media and how it works. What societal changes might we expect from social media, a perfect example of a collective enterprise that relies on exchange?
