Putting an end to the “suspicious package” forever

Most of us will never forget where we were on September 11, 2001, when hijackers flew planes into the World Trade Center and Pentagon. It was a tragedy that affected every citizen, regardless of whether they had any personal connection to the victims of the attacks.

What many people have forgotten about is the second wave of terrorist incidents that came in the wake of 9/11, shook up the country and created a significant stir in the homeland security sector. What I’m referring to was the anthrax scare that began in early October, when letters containing anthrax spores were sent through the mail to members of the media and government officials.
