Love or hate it, many of our government enterprises have installed either Windows Sharepoint Services (WSS) or Microsoft Office Sharepoint Services (MOSS). Talk about Sharepoint best practices here.

Comment by Sam Allgood on Monday I recently noted on our SP2010 site that SharePoint Designer workflows set to initiate on item creation are not always initiating, in some instances not initiating more often than they do initiate.
I have found two possible solutions. The first is regarding an update and the use of the System Account, but does not seem applicable as our problem is intermittent ... many workflows do execute normally.
The other possible solution was to re-publish the workflows. I did this with several and initially it seemed to correct the problem, but the next day they were failing to initiate again.
Any help greatly appreciated.
How are you training site admins and end users on out of the book SP 2010?

Comment by Andrew Krzmarzick on May 14, 2012 at 9:44am Joe makes a pretty bold statement here (that I'm sure some of you would like to affirm or counter):
"Sharepoint is a plague upon the American workforce. This ubiquitous piece of collaboration software has taught millions of people that Intranets are destined to be places where you can’t find anything.
It doesn’t have to be this way, despite what Microsoft may have you believe. There are alternatives to Sharepoint that actually work in ways that ordinary humans can understand.
One of these alternatives is WordPress."
