I believe the military is using gaming to help people overcome trauma and injury. But have you heard of Elude - a new game designed to help people overcome depression? http://www.govloop.com/profiles/blogs/elude-gaming-as-the-opposite   Opens up a discussion about health literacy, too:

"Elude is designed for the clinical setting, as part of a psycho-education package for friends and family of those living with depression. As I sat imagining this play out between clinician, client and family, my mind wandered to health literacy and realized that this type of education doesn’t fit in our current definitions. According to Healthy People health literacy is “the capacity to obtain, process, and understand basic health information and services to make appropriate health decisions.” What about the ability to empathize with others’ and their health struggles?"

Hello, everyone. Has anyone debated using Meetup for official event organizing, for .gov or .mil activities? I'd be interested in hearing more about it, if you have. Meetup doesn't look like it shows up alongside other socmed platforms on the GSA's TOS page. Still, if you've considered it or especially if you've used it, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Good morning ,all. Any MHS elements or related agencies considering purchasing iPads for staff use? Maybe the first question ought to be, is there some reason we can't but iPads? And if you were to buy them, would it be the 3g version? Curious to hear whether anyone is moving in this direction. Have a great week, everyone.
