GLEE!

I was at a friend's house the other night and her daughter HAD TO WATCH the season premier of "Glee", so I finally got to see a show. My take...absolute dreck! The following were some of my observations (having been in Chorus/Drama/Choir and a son in Drama):

- This school apparently has no teachers other than Coaches and the Glee Club teacher

- The students apparently have no classes to attend...other than Glee Club

- The school apparently has an unlimited budget for costumes, stage equipment and purchasing the rights to Broadway show tunes

- Apparently the administration from the school doesn't care about students standing up on school furniture (cafeteria tables) and dancing/singing OR stopping food fights in the Cafeteria.

- Just my opinion, but I've never known anyone in Chorus, Drama, etc. to spontaneously jump up on the stage and go through an entire Broadway song when they were not in rehearsal (full lights and music)

- While I applaud the producers of the show for making sure there is a perfect cross-section of every race, sexual orientation, size, etc. represented on the Glee Club...it is my experience that this is generally not the case.

 

I won't waste my time watching another episode...it was silly, stupid and a waste of money/time at best.

I'm TOTALLY with you on your take of GLEE!  There's no GLEE for me in watching this GLEE!!  It's just there to push every other AGENDA down our Throats!  I don't like being told what I should agree to.  So I choose not to watch it.. so the ratings folks can't use my household as a vote for GLEE!
