Call for Speakers:
Results-Based Management in Government
October 17-20, 2011 in Ottawa Ontario
In recent years, the federal government has intensified its focus on the need for reliable and measurable performance information. These expectations — articulated in the federal government’s management framework Results for Canadians and embodied in the modern comptrollership initiative — require that government focus on achieving measurable results for Canadians.
Results-based management requires that managers look beyond the inputs, activities and outputs of policies, programs and initiatives and focus on their impacts and effects. Managers must clearly define results to be achieved as well as measure and evaluate the performance of a policy, program and initiative throughout its life cycle. In doing so, managers will be better equipped to allocate resources where they are most needed and where they have the most impact.
The Advanced Learning Institute's mission is focused on helping executives build strong personal relationships, expand their business knowledge of cutting-edge trends, and find proven solutions to a wide range of business problems.
I am currently in the process of developing our conference on Results-Based Management in Government, scheduled for October 17-20, 2011 in Ottawa, Ontario. I am seeking proposals and ideas from Canadian / U.S. Government employees to offer their expertise and successful case studies on this topic.
The last time we held this event was in 2009 – to view the past agenda please visit: http://www.aliconferences.com/conf/results_mgt_govt1209/index.htm
If you’re interested in speaking, have insight on who should be presenting at this conference, have suggestions on topics that should be discussed, have an idea for a better more up-to-date title of this conference, etc – I’d love to hear from you.
Please contact me at erin@aliconferences.com and let’s continue this conversation.
