Steve: I’m looking for vendors who conduct Project Management training in less than a day modules. Not 8 hr training in less time, but shorter lessons. For example take a 2 day course (16 hrs) and offer it in stand alone 4 four hour modules. The same training, but in shorter, smaller time modules.
And our interests would be the full spectrum of PM subjects.
Any ideas?

Try Lou Bergner MBA PHP, loubergner@lbassociates.biz, he seemed very flexible, and was a great teacher (I took a scope/risk course from him, which he and The Graduate School brought to our agency, special).

We have the ability to offer our standard classroom PM courses in increments smaller than one day based on client needs and requirements, but we also have had great success with delivering these courses via a virtual classroom delivery format, which not only breaks the content down into 4 hour modules, but gives students the ability to take training online (with a live instructor) without leaving their workplace (which is also potentially a great cost savings for the organization). For example, a 2 day course is broken down into four sessions, each four hours long, being delivered over four days. This adds a lot of flexibility to the delivery of the same content covered in a standard 2 day live classroom delivery.

Permalink Reply by Chris St.John on October 28, 2011 at 1:09pm The Defense Acquisition University (DAU) and its Federal portal (Federal Acquisition Institute) offer hundreds of NO COST certification courses and continuing ed modules that range from online to blended to classroom venues. I would suggest you go to www.dau.mil if you are DoD or a DoD Contractor or www.fai.gov (if you are non-DoD/Federal employee). Program Management is one of the 15 career fields supported, incl Business/Finance, Contracting, Acquisition, Logistics and more.
Last year, DAU delivered over 12.5 MILLION hours of instructon/learning. Take advantage...
Permalink Reply by Roberta Croll on October 28, 2011 at 2:36pm I work at Graduate School USA and our Project Management Course (distance education version) works that way. Participants spend 4 to 5 hours per week completing independent study assignments under the guidance of a seasoned project management professional. You can find out more about that course at: Project Management (GS Connect). If you are talking about a group session, we could also customize something for you via our distance education platform (GS Connect).
