In case you missed it...

Young adults aged 18 to 24 will want to tune in to our upcoming webinar, "Social Security 101: What's in it for me?" The webinar will tell them everything they need to know about Social Security. Most young adults don't realize that we do more than pay retirement benefits and issue Social Security cards. Social Security provides disability benefits to covered workers, as well as benefits to dependent family members of workers who die. Young people also may not know how the Social Security system works — how it's funded, what a FICA tax is, or how to qualify for benefits.

The broadcast starts at 3 p.m. EST on Thursday, March 10, and will feature a brief presentation followed by an interactive question-and-answer period. We'll be posting the recorded session on our website for those who miss the live broadcast. Visit the link below to register! www.socialsecurity.gov/webinars/

Social Security Dedicates Robert M. Ball Federal Building: http://www.ssa.gov/pressoffice/pr/ball-bldg-dedi-pr.html

I worked for Mr. Ball when I was very young. Matter of fact, he still owes me 50 cents from a Saturday in 1972 when he didn't have change for a soda machine.

I have never heard of an FO returning an allowance back to DDS.  Are you sure they are from FO's and not from DQB's?

I believe he meant RFC (Residual Functional Capacity)

Hi Kevin,
As a DDS exainer, I make a decision on a case, send it back to the FO and I never see it again. I haven't heard of the FO reversing DDS allowances. There is also a disconnect between DDS and FO terminology. What is FRC?

How is Learning & Development transforming the federal government?
Government Elearning! Magazine is hosting a survey with partner Bersin & Associates (Authors of the Corporate Learning Factbook.) We would welcome your input on this study on L&D today. We will share results with you and present at the Summit in DC on 3/22/11. Take a moment to share your views at: https://www.evansresearchonline.com/s.php?s=FACTGE&d=2

Hi! Would anyone mind taking part in a short survey for my thesis on the affects of social media? I am utilizing social networks to generate participants and make the study more relevant and conclusive. Thank you either way. Please share if you can.
