Does anyone have a "training needs assessment" tool they could share with Dan?  http://www.govloop.com/forum/topics/putting-together-a-training-nee...

Commerce O/S OHRM is working on this too.  I'm very intersted in what others are doing as well.

Does the same type of training apply to people of every generation? Jack Shaw cross-posts a great blog by Michelle Rosenbloom here:

What a way to start 2012...I'm back to my first love: training federal employees!

I'm now the Assistant Executive Director at Federal Employment Law Training Group, LLC (www.feltg.com). FELTG is dedicated to providing quality employment law training to the federal government community through open enrollment and onsite training courses.

I'm looking for feedback/thoughts as we develop new courses in the realm of federal HR. What needs does your agency have?

Can you help doctoral student Raymond Marbury, please? He needs 15 volunteers for a study on succession planning in government. If your agency is involved in that kind of initiative, please let him know:

Why do we try to train so efficiently? Why not shake up the learning environment by pointing participants to a relate, but slightly off-topic exploration that could create serendipity in the process? Great post from Aaron Silver here:

Question: what are the major operating systems used to provide training programs?

Ashley Harris Comment by Ashley Harris on November 21, 2011 at 4:45pm

As a Management Concepts employee, I often hear that one of the biggest challenge today's Federal leaders face is how to close the supervisory skills gaps that exist within many agencies. If this is an issue that your organization faces, you might want to check out a free webinar we're doing on December 7th titled "Closing the Supervisory Skills Gap: A How-To for Federal Employees."

If you're interested in participating or if you'd like to pass on the information, you can register here: http://info.managementconcepts.com/skillsgap_govloopsm
