A great article on using video teleconferencing to avoid gov't furloughs and save money. Do you agree? http://feduc.us/?p=723
Comment by Andrew Krzmarzick on January 19, 2012 at 8:49am Do you know a Veteran looking for a Federal job? This video on "improving your resume" is geared toward vets making the transition:

Comment by Pat S on December 5, 2011 at 12:17pm At the Dallas VA a nurse lectured a female veteran for 2hrs about being a lesbian and leading a life of sin. This female vet was there to apply for disability payments and seek treatment for PTSD. I retired from the VA after 27yrs serving our veterans with compassion and pride. I am also a retired AFGE officer serving our federal employees with pride. This Va nurse is an embarassment to me and all other employees. The union is an embarassment for not demanding this nurse's immediate firing. This nurse violated this vets privacy by asking pointed personal questions: Are you a man or a woman? Are you a Lesbian? Have you accepted Jesus into your heart? Are you saved? The next 2 hours more to a religious sermon than a psychiatric screening. Is this the kind of treatment our veterans can look forward to enduring.

Comment by Stewart Liff on November 7, 2011 at 3:26pm I've written four very well received books on managing in government, including "Managing Government Employees" and "Improving the Performance of Government Employees." They are down to earth and filled with real world examples. Here is a link to the books:
