Many GovLoop members are seeking employment and wonder what might
be the tricks to finding a job here on GovLoop. Here are a few
ideas:
1. Post a notice in the
Job sections - similar to Craigslist. There are people
looking for jobs and job seekers looking for employees. That's your
best place to start to make a solid connection.
2. Another thing you can do is search on GovLoop
Members using
your key professional terms to find others here who may be in your
desired profession. Reach out to them and ask for an informational
interview to learn more about potential positions and to start
building key relationships. Please don't spam several individuals
or send multiple emails. There's often a fine line between
persistence and pestering, eh?
3. Consider looking for
Groups or
Forums that match your area
of interest. If you contribute valuable insight or resources to
those groups, you'll likely get noticed and catch the attention of
potential employers. Again, we'd ask that you not post a comment
like "I'm looking for a job" or post your resume in these sections,
but engage in the dialogue and your contributions will speak for
themselves.
