Figured out the problem with editing discussions(all of them) would be my browser of choice (Firefox)

You can foward on or forget about the issue; I have enabled an add-on which permits me to use govloop.com with IE.

Thanks again

Thanks Andrew. This is great that there's a social platform dedicated to government. Looking forward to connecting more with the good folks on here. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Hey Andrew, yeah, that was last year, wow! Good memories.

My partner's more meditative this year - he stops for an hour every day, and watches the world go by - a perfect lay monk's activity - thiel.livejournal.com. And he's now given in to his family's determinism, working for the Uniting Church, haha.

I'm doing OK. My government contract's not going to be renewed - massive job cuts in Victoria, and I was not ongoing yet, so bye bye. Slightly frustrating when you've been working well, and you fit the profile of someone they should keep. But then I'm not the only one in my position, and I've got other projects to focus on - mostly that Chinese translation platform, Marco Polo Project. It's becoming my mission, I feel, and I'm thinking of working on it full time for the next six months - see if I can raise some funds or develop some connected activity, and make it sustainable.

Do you happen to know anyone in the States who may be interested - if only to post a link on their facebook page - but sponsors and philanthropists wouldn't be pushed away? http://marcopoloproject.org.

Cheers - hope to see you again some time - send a wink if you come to Oz!

Andrew,

I use to sell into Fed, State & Local in the Mid-90's to around 2003.  It certainly has gotten much more advanced since then, but I still talk to my share of the late late late adopters! ;-)

Have a great day!

Andy,

You, your team and the members are already doing it! It is a great site to ease government agency employees into the social media arena.  I work with state and local agency's regarding technology training, and it surprises me how many still do not feel comfortable with "business social media" tool sets.  I think a site like this can really help them share their ideas and thoughts and not be intimidated.  Again thank you.  If you would like to join me on LinkedIn, here is my link:
