David, I think you got the better end of the deal too. And then graciously passed part of the gift on to the rest of us.

David, I met you a few months ago at a something.  I believe that when you think about it from working for the TAXPAYING CUSTOMER, it gives you an entirely different understanding of government. We try to neither let people build empires or crucifiy their employees.

Heck, David, I've been admiring your work from afar on GovLoop for some time. Proud to friend!

I'm well aware that somtimes the price of doing well is getting flack. My hub is in IT so he sees it more than I do, but I've had my share. Have a great week!!!

David, thanks for the friendly connect...I'm looking for a few clear examples for some metrics to share...sadly I'm in Chicago or I would definitely have liked to sit for a face to face over coffee....if you make it out this way, DO let me know.

For now I look forward to continuing the conversation online!

Thanks Dave:

What are some of your favorite business transformation projects that can be applied to the "business" of government.  It never ceases to amaze me how government agencies rush to spend their budgets before the end of the fiscal year, for fear next year's budget will be less.  Whereas in business, we are happy to roll over to the next fiscal year and re-invest in growth.
