Should the OpenGov/Gov 2.0 Community Collaborate on a Larger Scale?

Posted on March 16, 2011 at 10:00am 0 Comments

UPDATE on 1/11/2012: We didn't find the critical mass of organizers in 100 cities, but this plan is likely to be modified and tried again.  Please contact me through GovLoop if you're interested.

It may be time for collaborating across our many organizations.  Here's a proposal to find 100 opengov community members capable of holding a 2-hour meeting in partnership with local government to spread the word between May…

That's great, Lucas! Did you see that we livestreamed the last 90 minutes on GovLoop, too? We were able to embed the UStream video and chat on the home page and in the OpenGov Playbook group. We decided to test the possibility last minute and it worked! A model for future events?

Hi Lucas, sorry I'm missing #opengovpb this morning, but by looking at the tweets, it sounds like a very rich conversation. I hope to catch the next one.

Lucas, I registered as a presenter. I web conference sounds very good. I have a good idea about what I'd like to say in the five minutes. The two big things that we have done are Synchronicity and the Federal Wave. Both of these are a result of the Webolution Experience.

Hi Lucas,
I will not be available to discuss my work at the forum, it is ironic but I would need prior authorization from my mgt.before participating. Thank you for asking me, transparency in Government is certainly a laudible goal and I wish you luck with your efforts in this area.

Hi Lucas,

Christine Sonnabend forwarded me your message about having someone present on the Conscience Un-Conference at Open Government. I have another presentation that day that will either start at 11am or 12pm. Would the presentations be over by 10:30? If so, I can likely do that aspect.
