Jordan, this is fantastic stuff. It connects directly with the other end of citizen involvement: owning and refining the government project idea. It's not just the money that empowers citizens and inspires more collaboration, but being the genesis of government project ideas. Citizensourcing - or citizen ideation - the public inception, prioritizing, and development of these project ideas is starting to gain footholds in local governments across the country. I loved it! It is true that the citizen can help the Governments (local, national, federal) by given them our ideas and our time and make the Government more acceptable and efficient. This is what is called Open Government, is Crowdsourcing the foundation of Open Government?
