GovLoop - Social Network for Government

For the past month or so, I have been working on a bunch of resources to help the Federal Government and other government agencies get started with Gov 2.0.

Many of you on govloop may have already started down the Gov 2.0, but I had found that many agencies were asking for:
- Web/Gov 2.0 Best Practices
- Help creating a Gov 2.0 plan
- Lessons learned from other customers

I took those top requests and authored a bunch of documents that are pretty vendor and technology agnostic, but that addresses good governance and lessons learned from Gov 2.0 deployments I have seeen. I hope you all enjoy them the are located at:
http://www.microsoft.com/industry/government/guides/gov20.aspx - All "Getting Started" material

Solution/Vendor Agnostic:
http://tinyurl.com/Gov2Checklist - Two-Pager Checklist
http://tinyurl.com/Gov2PlanTemplate - Gov 2.0 Plan Template

Microsoft Focused:
http://tinyurl.com/MSGov2Addons - List of all Microsoft Add-ons that Government agencies can use for free to help with Gov 2.0 scenarios.

Lastly, if you are using SharePoint, I am working on a SharePoint Gov 2.0 plan template that is specific to SharePoint and will show how SharePoint can be used to serve as a unified Gov 2.0 platform and address may of the difficult issues for agencies like security, content control, integration, etc. Let me know if this would be valuable to you agency, so I can judge interest.

I hope this helps anyone that is just starting down the Gov 2.0 road.

Please give me feedback. We are looking to make improvements to all the collateral that incorporate your feedback.

Thanks for the feedback! I will look at speeding up delivery of the ShsrePoint Plan. Please read the generic plan and give me feedback, so I can improve the SharePoint plan. Let me know if you want to chat real-time.
