GovLoop - Knowledge Network for Government

Today is my last day as a GovLoop fellow; it's been awesome, and I'm hoping to stay active in the GovLoop community.

I've learned much about marketing analytics during my time here and have significantly improved my writing skills. The opportunity to help write the social media section of the Communications Guide and writing the Federal Buzz for the Washington Post have been among my favorite parts of the fellowship. Also, meeting those in and around government, as well as my co-workers, has been awesome.

I'll be headed back to Long Island to do marketing for Graphene Laboratories, a high-tech start-up that I interned for a year ago and have been a contractor for since. I'm excited about furthering my career there, and hope to take a passion for public service back to Long Island with me, possibly as a volunteer firefighter. I also look forward to continue blogging by setting up my own blog -- I'm thinking writing about high-tech innovators on Long Island might be cool.

The best part of the fellowship here at GovLoop has definitely been what I've learned from the posts by everyone in the community. Keep up the great work and keep improving government!

Corey, keep posting here. You've got some good insights on where government workers will be going.

I had several wonderful years as a volunteer firefighter where I learned  how my farm town worked.

Good beer too!
