It was interesting to read how different MPP degrees are in the USA compared to Europe. 2 years instead of one year full time you do at Oxford University, and a strong emphasis on quantitative skills, rather than the deep thinking needed to work as a director or permanent secretary. How many MPP degrees start students off thinking about philosophy and values, rather than just how to administer someone else's decisions?
