Want to hear how EPA mixed Web 1.0 and Web 2.0 for Earth Day?

Last year, we used a variety of tools to help people learn what they can do. We've put together a presentation about our efforts, and I'll deliver it via webinar on January 28.

Aside from what we did, one of the main points is that we shouldn't toss out good Web 1.0 tools just to do Web 2.0. For example, we have a mailing list of more than 50,000 people who have signed up to get our news releases. We should use that list to let people know about what we're doing in social media. Similarly, we should use banners on our home page.

Keep your eye on the communications ball, and use all appropriate tools to accomplish your goals.
