Rockin video. Good to see the face. Identity is a big issue. One worry I have with Gov 2.0 is how genuine the ideas are that become submitted. For example, I've seen emails from non-profits telling all their members to go to change.gov and state that X is the most important issue and provide them a stock phrase to use. To me, that's almost spam and not as interesting as general thoughts/concerns/comments from Joe/Jane citizen.

Totally. Related, as a City Hall reporter and local gov watcher, I've noticed that most people who show up at public meetings either have a direct financial interest, are gathered by those who have a direct financial interest, or are cranks. Then you have a few good gov retirees. But very few regular working people in the 20-60 demographic. In SF, we now have a guy who comes and sings a song for three minutes.
I've started talking to gov leaders about this issue, and they don't disagree. I think Gov 2.0 could change the paradigm. Now, whether the electeds wants a lot of just folks watching the sausage get made ...

I hear that Adriel,

Meetings around here are where personal agendas are executed in public. By people who have the time to go to meetings.

Nice video. I've got to learn how to do that. MD

Did it at home with TokBox, free, plus a $30 Microsoft Web cam.
