Five Minute Challenge

The ELGL Five Minute Challenge is what separates our ordinary members from the extraordinary.

It’s quick, easy, and allows you to walk the walk (instead of just talking the talk) when it comes to mentoring, helping the next generation of leaders, and promoting the local government profession.

Here’s how it works:

1. Pick a 2013 Resume Book participant. (ELGL members can review their full resumes here; everyone else has access to the summaries here).

2. Contact them and let them know you’re taking part in the Five Minute Challenge. Please plan on spending five minutes of your time chatting or emailing with them about their career and aspirations.

3. Sit back, relax, and know that you did something wonderful – in just five minutes – to help the next gen of local government leaders.

(Want extra credit? When you’re done with the Five Minute Challenge – take a minute to tell us about your experience in the comments section below, or on Twitter using hashtags #ELGL and #FiveMinuteChallenge to @OregonELGL).
