As part of their 2009 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) kickoff, the Department of Interior (DOI) held auditions for their first annual “DOI’s Got Talent” competition. The actual event will take place on December 9, but DOI employees flocked to their Sidney Yates Auditorium today to witness fellow co-workers try-out for a spot in the final round. Camilla Ihenetu, Bruce Sheaffer, Lindsay Dubin, and Gareth Rees were the official judges and it was up to them to either give a thumbs up or down to the participants.
Contestants included:

-East Coast Hackey-Sack Champion, Ken Somolinos of DOI’s Office of Bureau of Land Management

-The vocal group, PVE3, featuring Wendy Davis, Joy Pietschmann and Corita Waters from the National Park Service

-The Office of Assistant Secretary, Land and Minerals, Pat Watkins, showed off her dance moves to the music of Michael Jackson

-The puppetry of Lillie Simms from the Office of Communications
