Introductions

To borrow from Teddy Roosevelt, being in the political arena fighting for what one believes is what it means to be a citizen in a republic. Since I was a kid, I’ve enjoyed watching the political arena. At the wise age of 8, I supported George H. W. Bush over Michael Dukakis. I don’t know why I pick the elder Bush. I guess it was his height. I was what we term a no issue voter—the poison pill for representative government, but I was young and would learn.

While in college, I became obsessed with the study of politics. This obsession led to the loss of my twenties to a PhD in public policy and administration. This blog is about my obsession and my work teaching and research public finance and community development in a Master of Public Administration program.

Look for more to come in the future!
