The Peace Corps held their 2009 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) kickoff today before a raucous crowd in their Shriver Hall. Employees dressed as cheerleaders led cheers of “C-F-C!” while others held pro-CFC signs and banners to express their support for this year’s fund drive which they’ve named the “Bring it Home” campaign.
“Why should the Peace Corps care about the CFC anyway?” asked the Corps’ Chief of Staff, Stacy Rhodes. “It is because our core mission is very much like the exact purpose of the CFC campaign? We can expand our fight against poverty, hunger, disease and help build the capacity of people in need of support and an opportunity to improve their lives,” he said.

My Daughter is interested in joining the Peace Corps. But, I have lots of questions for the Peace Corps. Anyone care to add in your thoughts. Are there any load repayment programs? How long must she sign for? Etc?
