Update

Friends,

During my three months as a summer fellow at GovLoop, I had the chance to get to know not just the other amazing members of the GL staff but also countless members of the greater GL community. From interacting with hundreds of dedicated public servants on the site, to meeting many of you at NextGen 2011, to highlighting so many of your awesome quotes for the Washington Post, I couldn’t have a had a better experience or been more impressed with you all. For that reason, I wanted to take a moment to update everyone on what I’m doing with my life post-GovLoop.

A month ago, I accepted a full-time position at The Winston Group, a political polling and strategy firm here in Washington, D.C. This opportunity allows me to continue doing the two things I enjoy most in life (other than watching college football, of course): writing in various capacities (as a speechwriter, a blogger, a columnist, etc.) and learning/growing/being challenged in new ways. I’ve only been on the job for three weeks, but I am loving it already. Not everyone gets to jump straight into their field of study right out of grad school, so I consider myself exponentially blessed. It’s worth noting as well that I absolutely would not be where I am without the help of Mr. GovLoop himself (Steve Ressler) or his right-hand man, Andy K.

I hope everyone at GovLoop is doing great and that I’ll see you around soon!

Stay awesome,

slade
