The timing of training is key and I wish agencies would share more best practices on the best time to take particular training courses. I’ve been in 200 level classes with interns, and I’ve been in 100 level classes with 10-15 year veterans. This shouldn’t be the case.
CON 120 with Mike Hughes of Management Concepts was by far the best course I’ve ever had. CON 204, Intermediate Contract Pricing, is the worst class I’ve had. Unless you do all cost reimbursement contracts, it is completely irrelevant. Hopefully the new curriculum will be better.
