One point I'd like to repeat and emphasize:
It is not even reasonable to debate whether the Democrat's chosen path of state control of the economy makes sense. History has demonstrated overwhelmingly that it never has. Every bit of evidence is stacked against statist management of the economy. The results always range from stagnation and inefficiency in the best case, to mass starvation in the worst.
Debating this point with leftists is a waste of time. It should be sufficient to point them to American prosperity on the one hand, and any example of central planning on the other.
