We did a little. Most of our time was consumed with interviews and facility/system inspection, but our hosts made sure we got some of the local flavor. In PR we were treated to traditional meals, including mofongo and rabbit. In Chile we sampled the local market and ate at an amazing Steak House. The local flavors, combined with the simply amazing work done at the observatories made this the best travel I have ever had for work. I just hope they call us again in a few years, after they have taken some of our suggestions!
