When I first started with the Forest Service, I became a Union Steward (If I only knew then…). I went on trips to Seattle and Reno, but the best one was to Kansas City. When our work was done, we walked around and listened to the street singers and read old historical plaques. Meals were incredible. I found a little cigar bar that had awesome portobello mushroom pizza. I went there nightly and listened to some great jazz and blues! I’ll go back there for fun someday.
