It would vary by campus, but most importantly, it varies by the effectiveness of each government program. One thing is certain though. In order to raise awareness and interest about working for government, agencies need to consistently reach out to students, and better yet, to the influencers of these students. For Gen Y, parents are the main influencers. Faculty and mentors are the second most effective influencers. Look at the military. As you know, they target TV ads to parents of potential recruits. Other employers, like some of the ones on the list above, target faculty and departments either directly or through AfterCollege.
