Sydney, who is home-schooled, spent about 200 hours on a two-minute video on her invention of a box that sits over an automated teller machine’s PIN pad. The box includes louvers that restrict the view of the screen to anyone who isn’t directly in front of the pad. Mirror film, manufactured by 3M, is placed over the louvers to allow customers to see through to the pad while also being aware of their surroundings.
