I try to respond to an email the day I receive it. If the response needs some information finding, I’ll at least let the person know that I have received their email and that I’m working on finding this information for them. No one likes to send a message into a black hole.
We have a centralized inbox customers can use to contact us, but there are many other places someone might send an email. Communications handles or helps on many of these, but not all. We do not use canned responses. We respond specifically to the questions or comments posed by the writer.
