Charles T. Jordan
Having been a Brit Forces child and travelled abroad with my parents and also having served with the Royal Air Force at home and abroad, I was always brought up to respect the dead, whoever they were! Whilst I can appreciate that emotions run extremely high during certain theatres of war, personally I find this kind of behaviour absolutely disgraceful. I know the bible says, ‘a tooth for a tooth’ and all that, but why can’t we in a democratic society lead by example and show respect for the dead – eventually, the enemy, whoever they are, will come round. I know it will be a long time, but they will see it is for the best.
The soldiers need the book thrown at them.
