On the technology side, I think there are a couple key things to add:

-How to integrate – it’s pretty easy to set up your own device to sync to your mail exchanges, etc. But still the government will need to provide clear instructions, forums, help desk for how to set up your personal phone to make work ready

-Create work-related app exchange – A key power of BYOD is the ability to leverage both purely personal, work related, and 100% gov’t created work apps. For example, an employee can use the same phone to check personal Facebook during lunch, use Evernote to take notes during work, and then do their time and attendance in a work provided app. Government should create either app exchange or minimally highlight on existing app exchanges some great government related apps
